Beauty Secret with Pantene Charcoal Shampoo & Conditioner

Hey friends! Have you heard all the craze over charcoal beauty products? From toothpaste, face mask, charcoal drinks, face wash all the way to hair products. They have been on trend lately and I was excited to add another charcoal product into my beauty routine. I’ve been using a charcoal face wash (I shared this on my IG story last week) for a little over 2 years now and decided to try out
Pantene’s  Charcoal Collection Shampoo & ConditionerI honestly have to say that this has been a little secret of mine to help with build up, shine & for my oily hair. For reference, my hair is oily (at the roots), color treated hair.

In case you are unfamiliar with what activated charcoal does for your hair, the biggest benefit is the ability to get rid of toxins.

The best part is that I can go 4 days without washing it because it’s a deeper clean. Reducing the amount of days I have to wash my hair is always a priority of mine. I love that I can sweat while working out and still extend my hair washing routine since my hair still has a nice smell from these 2 products.

I did some research on activated charcoal in products since I have been using face wash, a face mask and the Pantene’s  Charcoal Collection Shampoo & Conditioner with activated charcoal. For hair the interesting thing is that if you have dandruff, oily or an itchy scalp, the activated charcoal can help relieve those symptomsThe activated charcoal pulls out toxins, purifies, gently exfoliates the scalp and in turn removing flakes and other dirt. Activated charcoal also unclog pores and follicles. Something interesting is that if your hair is falling out or you are experiencing stunted hair growth, it can be caused by dandruff, clogged hair follicles, infections in the scalp, clogged pores and a variety of reasons. Activated charcoal can help you get back your natural hair growth pattern and even accelerate hair growth. I mean, that’s a win for me!!!

In regards to activated charcoal in face products, the activated charcoal will draw the bacteria, chemicals, poisons and dirt to the surface of the skin to help you achieve a flawless complexion and fight acne. Fun Fact: Charcoalcan be used to treat a few poisonous bites and disinfect some wounds. I mean, who knew activated charcoal was a hidden gem?!?

So, if you’re looking for a way to go longer between washes and help remove build up,  I definitely would recommend Pantene’s  Charcoal Collection Shampoo & Conditioner. It works, it’s affordable and #AvailableAtTarget#TargetBeauty. Much love, Sue

So true that you see charcoal stuff everywhere in the beauty aisle and I just thought it was the next gimmick/ buzz word. Nice to hear of someone trying and really liking the products that contain this ingredient. Might just have to give this line a try. Can it be used safely on highlighted hair?
