Hi friends, given the current situation, I thought I’d give a few tips to help you navigate your transition from working in an office to working from home. I’ve been working from home for a few years now and these have helped me feel productive & accomplished daily. I hope you find these helpful.

Tip 1: Get dressed for the day.  Days I get ready for the day helps me feel productive and ready to take on the day.

Do you dress up in the day or keep it more relaxed? I’m definitely a mixture of both.  Y’all know I’m a sucker for blazers, and this Express blazer makes me feel like a boss babe ready to take on the day. Express has so many chic blazers to wear casual are dressed up. And since I’m sitting a lot, comfy jeans are a must. Express has so many options for pants from joggers, leggings and even these stretchy, comfortable crops ( fits true to size and will be perfect for Spring & Summer. I wear an 8). For relaxed days joggers or leggings (HERE) and a denim jacket (HERE) are my go-to pieces.

Tip 2: Schedule breaks. Make sure to take your lunch break and a helpful tip I do is set an alarm so you don’t forget to take a break. Two 15 minute breaks during the work day will help clear your mind and get ya moving.

Tip 3: Have a schedule for the day. Setting a schedule and sticking to it helps keep healthy boundaries from home and work. I also love to write down all the tasks I NEED (not want) to complete each day and scratch them out as I go. It sure feels good to see a list complete marked out and can help make your feel like you accomplished everything you needed to do for that day.

Tip 4: Get out of the house. Weather that’s going for a walk, running an errand or going out to lunch. Your body needs to move and get some fresh air so you don’t get cabin fever.

I hope these tips were helpful as you adjust to working from home and your new normal.

Thanks Express for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts & opinions are of my own.
