Hey friends! September has been so crazy for us as it is every year since we have Triston, Channing and my MIL’s birthday & their anniversary all this month. I skipped out on NY Fashion week this year and it really helped make things not so stressful. So many of y’all asked about Triston’s party and where I got the decor. So, I thought I would share his big 7th birthday celebration and how I used Favor to make sure I got everything I needed for his special day.
If you are not familiar with, Favor it’s an app service that can deliver anything from food from a restaurant for lunch, Tiff’s Treats cookies for a friend’s birthday, picking up your new tv that doesn’t fit in your car, all the way to those errands you don’t have time to do. Hey, they can even run to pick up your groceries or to pick up a shirt from the mall that you needed before you leave for town. The impressive part is that they will deliver in under an hour! How cool is that!?! So, now you see why I had to try it out on such a busy day.
I made a checklist a few years ago that I wanted to share with y’all for the kids birthdays. I reuse this template each year for both kids and make the adjustments each year as needed. I shared the checklist below so you can use for your next party. I tried to make the party as simple as I could this year. A few of these items on the list are reusable. The football, the burlap table cloth, Silver beverage tub and the cones are all reusable. I use the burlap table cloth almost every year since it somehow goes with everything ( great investment). We also reused Triston’s cones for the party (they are his football and soccer pratice cones). The Silver Beverage Tub as decor in your house (which is what I have done as well). Also, to make my life easier, I purchased the football game day party decor from etsy. I printed the banner, party signs and party pennants on cardstock and cut them out with Triston. Honestly, he loved helping me cut out everything and it got him even more excited about his party. Any way to incorporate your kiddos that not only helps you out, but you can make it into a fun project…I’m in!
The day of the party is always nuts, so to make our lives a little earlier I used Favor to pick up and deliver all the balloons for the party. We had the bounce house being delivered, set up the decor and put out all the snacks. We also had pizza delivered right when the party started which made it all run smooth as well.
I want to mention, this was my first experience using Favor. It was so easy, quick and it actually saved me time since they delivered the balloons to our house for the party. I definitely will use them again. If you’re in Texas, do yourself a favor (pun intended) and check out Favor. You can sign up at favordelivery.com or download the Favor app in the App Store or Google Play… then search nearby restaurants, pick up dry cleaning or get the allergy medicine while you are home sick. Easy peezy!
